Classical Conversations partners experienced home school tutors with families interested in using a Christian, Classical model of education. Families enjoy weekly help from a tutor and activities with other students studying the same material. Junior and Senior High students may participate in a variety of educational opportunities including Mock Trial, Policy Debate, Science Fairs and more.

If you are interested in learning more and attending either meeting contact Lisa Lafoon, Foundations Director for Classical Conversations Lynchburg. To help us prepare for the meeting, please RSVP which time you will attend.

Campbell County 4-H camp has openings for their summer camp for kids ages 9-13 to spend a week camping at the beautiful Holiday Lake 4-H Center.

There are a variety of camp classes, afternoon activities, and special evening programs emphasizing developing leadership and life skills.

The 4-H Homeschool Clover Club is a member run organization where children learn leadership and life skills through discussion of upcoming events, voting for officers when necessary, doing practice presentations, having social/game time and science fair competition, by sponsoring an area wide art show, and doing community service projects.

Gardening is the course of study for the 2009-2010 school year. Classes include organic gardening, handling garden pests in an environmentally friendly way, soil and how to improve it, herb gardening, flower gardening. We will be taking field trips and have guest speakers and teachers. Participation is open to homeschoolers 5-18yo children and is FREE.

The vision of THL is to connect Homeschool Moms from all corners of the web. Similarly, the mission of LA NICHE is to connect Christian homeschool families from all corners of the Lynchburg area, so we are delighted to offer our own members a niche of their own in the Homeschool Lounge!
